  2. Any individuals regardless of where they live may play for a team in the said League, as long as that person does not play in any other League on the same night as the Wick and District Darts League. Teams can register a player at any point before the 31st Jan of that playing season. If any player is not registered with your team after this date, the player will be ineligible to play.
  3. All matches shall be played on a standard board. (No Staples)
  4. Games shall start with the player with the asterisk * beside his or her name. Throwing straight off in the odd numbered legs.
  5. Matches shall commence by 8.15 on league nights, unless prior arrangement by both team captains.
  6. The board shall be positioned 5 feet 8 inches from the floor to the centre of the bullseye. Throwing distance shall be 7 foot 9 and a 1/4 inches from the face of the board along the floor, or 115 and 1/2 inches from the centre of the bull to the throw line of the oche.
  7. The throw line oche shall be in a distinctive raised form, (not chalk or tape etc) and be of reasonable length.
  8. Players shall throw from behind the oche line in a standing and safe throwing manner, no underarm or dangerous throws allowed as this will result in a penalty. You may lose your score with any dart deemed as a penalty throw.
  9. Markers may inform the player of the total required (but not how to obtain it). Coaching from team-mates is not allowed unless under doubles/pairs playing format. Markers must not openly talk through-out the match, only when asked a question by any of the players involved. Markers must also remain still throughout the duration of the players throwing. If matters cannot be resolved the complaint should then be noted on the back of the score sheet in writing for the attention of the secretary.

If any team has to cancel for any other reason, the opposing team can re-arrange the fixture within 14 days, however, if a conclusion cannot be reached and agreed upon by the team captains then the team postponing in the first instance will forfeit the points. In this instance matches can also be arranged before scheduled date if both team Captains agree.
  18. If a game is not played for any other reason the secretary must be notified by the offending team and a decision will be made at the next committee meeting, (usually 8-0).
